News Notes - Probably our biggest celebrity in '46, Lowell "Sonny" Thomas Jr. and his lovely wife Tay are fast becoming the Lunt and Fontanne of real-life adventure. You might have seen their joint television debut on CBS in October, "High Adventure with Lowell Thomas" which was an extremely well done travelogue through Alaska, mostly by air. Sonny and Tay were married in 1950 and he has been emulating his famous globe-trotting father, Lowell Thomas Sr. ever since. In turn Tay (officially known as Mary Taylor Thomas) was also born into a travel-minded family. Her father, Samuel F. Pryor Jr., is a vice president of Pan American World Airways. Next on the timetable for the Thomases in "High Adventure" is a trip through the Arabian Peninsula and the coast of Africa along the Indian Ocean. Here's hoping we will be able to catch this one on TV too. Keep up the great work, Sonny!
