As I write this shortly after the Holy Cross game it looks like Dartmouth has another outstanding football team. By the time you read this, Penn, Brown, Harvard, and Yale will have been played and I hope the results are as good as the first two games. Michelle and I are making our first trip to Hanover since reunion to see the Penn game and hope to see many of you there or at some of the other games.

The Union Church in Waban, Mass., has selected Boyd Johnson as its new minister. He started his new duties on October 1. Boyd was previously pastor of the First Congregational Church in Woodbridge, N. J. He spent a year prior to that as assistant minister at the American Church m Paris, France. John Peterson has been named product manager by the Norton Co. in Worcester, Mass. John is in charge of production and sales of a new product line of grinding fluids called Wheelmate.

A new promotion with the State of New York moves Bob Douglass from New York City to Albany. He was recently appointed as counsel to the Governor and is now one of Mr. Rockefeller's top advisers. Bobby has served as first assistant counsel to the Governor since last December. He spent a great deal of time in Albany in this job so this move merely puts him closer to his work. He, his wife Linda, and son are now living in Delmar, a suburb of Albany. Linda's father held a "going away" party for the couple in which one of the features of the evening was the new Paul Paganucci. I hadn't seen Pag in several weeks and had a little trouble recognizing him. He has gone on a crash diet and lost some forty or fifty pounds. He says the only problem is the fortune it is going to cost him in a brand new wardrobe.

I knew that Brock Brower was doing very well as a writer, but still could not help being very impressed when I picked up the September 24 issue of Life Magazine. Brock had a lengthy feature article on the novelist, Norman Mailer. It was fascinating reading and I hope those of you that missed it can find a back copy.

I was pleased to hear that Howie Clery has been promoted with McBee Systems, a division of Litton Industries. Howie and I worked together for several years at Royal McBee prior to the merger with Litton. His new assignment is as assistant manager of their Chicago office.

For a change I have no marriages or ening up on the remaining bachelors. Of course I don't hear about all of the births, but was happy to learn that Rich and Carol Kochman recently had their first child. The new daughter, Robin Sabrina, was born at the new Woman's Hospital of St. Lukes of which Rich is an attending ophthalmologist.

In the world of education the Lebanon newspaper carried a nice editorial about Dick Goodman. He has been appointed as Executive Secretary of the New England School Development Council. For the past four years Dick has been Superintendent of Schools in Milford, N. H. Two announcements from Harvard advise us that EdKlima received a Ph.D. and Skip Thompson an M.B.A. degree.

This exhausts the news that has accumulated over the summer and early fall months. Unless I hear from some of you soon, the next few issues of this column will really be thin.
