Flint Ranney was married on July 31 to the former Charron P. "Corky" McPherson. Corky's home is Covina, Calif. They are living at 11734 Chenault St., Los Angeles 90049.

October 24 was United Nations Day, and it was an important day for Ron MacKenzie, whom Governor Volpe appointed state chairman for Massachusetts. Ron was named "outstanding member of the Mass. Junior Chamber of Commerce" in 1963 and is a member of the Burlington, Mass., council on human relations. Ron ran, though unsuccessfully, for the state senate last fall. Ron and Janet have two children and live at 5 Beaverbrook Road in Burlington. President Dickey was appointed by Governor King of N. H. to be chairman of the N. H. UN Day committee. President Dickey served as public liaison officer for the U.S. delegation to the UN conference in San Francisco in 1945.

In Winchester, the next town to the McKenzies, live Gerry and Phyl Finkel and their son Allen Scott. Gerry is a lieutenant commander in the Navy Medical Corps specializing in pathology at Chelsea Navy Hospital. He has just been selected to be included in the Junior Chamber of Commerce's forthcoming edition of "Outstanding Young Men of America," which honors leading men between 21 and 35 years old. The Finkels live at 18 Bonad Road. BudRoth had a fine write-up in a Syracuse paper. Bud and his brother Bob were named 'Merchants of the Week" for their service to the consumer. They have a furniture store "Manor House" on Kasson Rd. in Syracuse. Bud and Margie live at 108 Haddonfield Drive in Dewitt; they have two daughters, Wendy, 5, and Robin, 4. RoyRaja earned his master's degree in business administration at Harvard last June. Roy and Ellen have two children and are living in South Lincoln, Mass.

Johnny Allen, a Navy lieutenant, is on patrol at sea aboard the submarine, "U.S.S. Thomas Jefferson," while Judy keeps the home fires burning for the children at their home on 57 Cormorant Drive in Groton, Conn. Bill Benson is in his final year of training in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Bill writes that he will be sent to Los Angeles in January '66 for 6 months of specialized training in hand surgery and then to Paris next September to present a paper for the Mayo Clinic. Bill plans to go into private practice in Kansas City, Mo. Bill had a tour of thirteen months of military service as an orthopedist in Thailand and Viet Nam. Dr. Glenn Gardner is about to depart for Southeast Asia to begin a two-year tour as a military medical officer.

Kev Ryan is a captain and doctor at the U.S. Air Force Hospital Tachikawa in Japan. Kev writes that Sue and he and their two boys Chris, 4, and Eric, 2, are starting their third and last year at Tachikawa. Last spring Sue and Kev made a tour of the Far East going to Hong Kong, Bangkok, India, Singapore, and Manila. Kevin's note continues, "I am one of two radiologists here on base, and we are kept busy due to air evacs from Viet Nam and just taking care of the local Air Force people. Would be glad to see anyone venturing through these parts." Dr. Bill Ehrenfeld has finished his general surgical residency in New York and is presently serving a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Bill and Joanne have two daughters.

Paul Ford is associate professor of education at Washington State University in Pullman. Lena May writes that Paul "finds the hunting and fishing excellent." They have two sons. Bob and Lucie Wolf are living at 20 W. 86th St., Apt. 10 B in New York. They have two daughters. Bob writes that he has just gone into business for himself as an independent film producer. He is affiliated with a film studio in New York and one in Montreal. Bob's business address is Films Five, 18 E. 50th St., New York.

Ron Lewis was in Cambridge for the Harvard-Dartmouth football game. Ron is with General Electric in Bridgeport, Conn. He is living in Norwalk. Tony Carleton was at the game. Tony is now living at 65 Rice Street in Cambridge. We had fine seats, a good day for a picnic and afternoon of football, and a game well worth watching. Tom and "Dazzle" Gidley were up from Providence, R. I., where Tom is practicing law, doing national guard duty, and serving in church youth work. Dazzle is keeping up her interest in music, teaches piano, and keeps a good home for son Teddy. Stu andMiriam Klapper have a delightful apartment on Chestnut Street on Beacon Hill. Stu is with Stop and Shop and also officiates at college football games. Wes Smith made the trip to Cambridge combining it with a visit with an Episcopal Theological Seminary Student. Wes is serving a church in Pawling, N. Y. He and Lee have a daughter. Pete and Kittie Bernard came up for the game from Matawan, N. J.; Glen andCarol French, from Needham, Mass.; Jackand Priscilla Wheatley, from Elmwood, Mass.; Steve Osman, from Stamford, Conn. Steve and Harle have two sons. Carl Hirsch is enthusiastic about his Boston law practice; Bill Miles and date, Roge and SherrieSchumacher, Chuck and Elna Soule, HarryNutting and date were all there for the game and victory celebration. Harry came over from Syracuse. Ab and Cindy Oakes were down with the freshman soccer team. Dusty and Signy Johnstone, Line and Robin Spaulding, Ted and Betsy Rowe, Egil Stigum, John Goff and date, Bob and Sue Dumont, and Hank and Janet Taylor from South Hamilton, Mass. The Taylors have four children, two sons and two daughters. A little special recognition goes to Bob, Hank, Ab, and the Dartmouth Co-op for their coordinated effort bringing to Cambridge a new big "Dartmouth 1956" banner, which was put to good use at the cage after the game.

Ahmed Osman is settled in Cambridge and has begun his studies in economics in the graduate program at Harvard. He called the other evening and said he had been in touch with his successor, recipient of the Class of '56 scholarship, Mehmet EminArda. When many of us were in Hanover October 9, we first saw Mehmet in action on the soccer field when he helped set up a play that scored a goal for the Dartmouth freshmen giving them a one-nothing win over Andover in the second overtime period. Mehmet is from Istanbul, Turkey, and a graduate of Robert Academy. Give some thought to having Mehmet spend a part of Christmas or spring vacation at your home, and if you're interested, phone or write Doug Keare at 14 E. Stanworth Drive, Princeton, N. J.

Among those in Hanover for the Oct. 9 class meeting were Art Katz, Budd Schattman, and John Kirscher, who is now in the philosophy department of the Dartmouth faculty. Arty Katz and his wife Ruth were up from Rockville Center, N. Y. They have a son, Steve, 5Vi. Russ Brace presided, and Bob Dumont gave the major report on reunion plans for June 17-19. Doug Keare presented a report on Mehmet's scholarship; Leo McKenna is rounding up candidates for the new class officers to be elected by the class next spring. Ab Oakes is keeping the class funds in good order; Tom Rosenwald is planning the class reunion banquet; Roge Schumacher will be registering us on arrival at reunion; and Hank Taylor is heading the New England region reunion committee; while I am working on plans for a Class of '56 memorial service to be held in Rollins Chapel 10 a.m., June 19. The next class meeting will be at the Dartmouth Club in New York in February.
