Wish Washburn has joined California Canners and Growers in San Francisco. He will be a financial analyst with the nation's largest cooperative fruit and vegetable processor. He will be primarily concerned with the annual profit plan, investment evaluation and long-range planning. Wish went to the West Coast from New York a few years ago and has been working with Crown Zellerbach Corporation as a financial analyst. He has been actively working in data processing and computers as has John Hurley who was recently promoted to systems analyst in the data processing department at the Travelers Insurance Companies in Hartford. If my memory serves me correctly, John was with IBM when I saw him at our tenth reunion. He joined Travelers in 1962 as a programmer, was named senior programmer in 1964 and was appointed analyst in 1965. John has three children and lives in New-ington, Conn. Also with Travelers, but in Springfield, Mass., is George Weston who was made an assistant manager of the Casualty-Property Department last July. George received his diploma from the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters after four years of night work.

Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Ore., has named Blake Hering as a trustee. Catlin Gabel is a coeducational private school with classes from pre-school through high school. Another renowned educator, Bob Douglass, counsel to Governor Rockefeller, delivered the commencement address last June at the State University College at New Paltz, N. Y. It's nice to know we have intellectuals in our class.

One of the last and better known bachelors in our class is taking the big step. PeteGrenquist was scheduled to marry Barbara Krone in December. Pete and Barbara went to a lot of trouble to keep most of Pete's Dartmouth friends away from the wedding by having the ceremony in Helsinki, Finland. Barbara is a graduate of Vassar and did graduate work at Columbia University. She has worked as an editor with McGraw-Hill and Prentice-Hall, Inc. where I assume she met Pete. As previously reported, Pete is an assistant vice president of Prentice-Hall and the director of Spectrum Books.

Stan Jackson was selected to attend D.O.D.'s Defense Education Program and is currently spending fourteen months in Washington, D. C. He is studying Systems Analysis and Economics at the Institute for Defense Systems Analysis and hopes to receive his MA. degree in Economics next fall. Stan works for the U.S. Army Troop Support Command in Natick, Mass., and will return there after receiving his degree. Jimand Shirley Cobb were transferred to Balti-more last June by Jim's employer of eleven years, Kroehler Manufacturing Company. He says they received a warm welcome from Bill and Bev McCarthy and even caught "Colt (Baltimore) Fever" from Bill as well as playing quite a bit of tennis with him. Jim and Shirley are planning to attend our fifteenth reunion next year.

Plans are progressing nicely for our fifteenth reunion. If at all possible, try to make it.
