June 1968. A date to remember. Sign up now with Bill Towler for the 55th. Ben Andrews writes that he will help gather news from New Hampshire along with Brig Knight. That's fine. I need their help. I welcome news from classmates everywhere. Don't think your news is unimportant. Your classmates won't.

Grover Fox reports tht he still returns to Dracut, Mass., to visit his three older brothers and one sister. They all live on or near the old ancestral farm which dates back to 1736 and has been in the family ever since. After graduating from Tuck School in 1914, he got"his first and only job in Philadelphia with the Farm Journal Magazine. After fifty years he retired December 31, 1963. He can truly say that he looks back on an interesting business career with a very fine company and congenial associates. He and his wife Elsie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the home of his son Grover D38 in Kenilworth, Ill. Foxie has done some traveling and does quite a bit of reading.

Stub Stoughton says that though he lives in a somewhat isolated community, Newfoundland (N. J.), he will gladly cooperate in sending in news. Recently he returned from Burt, N. Y., on Lake Ontario, where he visited his daughter Nancy (Mrs. Forrest W. Hyde) and her four lovely daughters. While he was there she gave birth to a fine baby boy to round out the family. The boy is the thirteenth grandchild and he is "proud as punch."

Dave Adams' widow, Jeannette Ferris Adams, writes that her granddaughter, Landia Adams Rockwell, married David Robinson Nov. 25, '67. She is a Wellesley graduate with a master's from Harvard. Her brother Winthrop is a Dartmouth sophomore. Jeannette says she can't make the reunion. LeonScott's widow, Jessie, is coming to the reunion and may bring her daughter Nancy (Smith, Phi Beta Kappa). Jessie's last reunion was the tenth when they came up with your secretary.

Dr. Don Cunningham and Barbara were in New York the first week in December and Bill Towler had two big visits with them. They are en route to Hawaii for three weeks.

A room in the American Hospital of Paris has been dedicated to the memory of the late Ambassador S. Pinkney Tuck by his widow. It is for use of personnel of the U.S. Foreign Service, active or retired. Kippy Tuck was a member of the Board of Governors of the hospital for many years. The hospital has no subsidies. It depends principally on outside contributions and bequests.

More about the unofficial reunion of '13 Oct. 20, '67. A smaller gathering than usual met at the faculty lounge at Hopkins Center for the traditional Sun-Down get-together followed by dinner at the Inn. A class meeting was held Saturday morning at which Bill Towler gave a fine report for the plans for the 55th reunion in June '68. It was unanimously voted that Joe Barnett be commended and thanked for his splendid and untiring work in editing both the Class News Letter and the class notes in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE until the latter was taken over by your acting secretary, Marc Wright. It was voted to write an official letter of condolence to Mrs. Ralph Samuel and to donate the sum of $10.00 to the college library for the purchase of a book in Ralph's memory.

Bob Conant says that golf is over for '67. Fred Page and Harry French have been hunting birds and just recently venison. EricFoster called on Fred Page shortly before his departure for Bonito Springs, Fla. VicDunbar is over his bout with shingles and looks fine. Doc Ashton and his wife returned from Spain and Portugal after a wonderful trip. He and Louise will attend the reunion in June.

Joe Barnett sent me many of the letters from classmates who wrote him the past year. They made most interesting reading and reveal many accomplishments that do great credit to themselves and the class. Good news from Walt Nolan; his eye trouble is being treated successfully and he expects normal vision by reunion time.

Best wishes for health and happiness to all the class in '6B.
