Reunion could easily push everything else out of the picture. Before you read this you will have another edition of The '08er asking for particular information.
Jack Thompson reports constant progress in his climb back to normal health. Art Wyman spent three weeks, including Christmas day, in Salem, Mass., Hospital, and so far has made slow im- provement. Best wishes to Art.
Web Evans tells of two falls by his wife Priscilla, resulting in a broken hip. Web is still holding to the hope of making Reunion, but unfortunately alone. Henry Emery reports progress conquering his disability. It is a joy to hear from Walter Furman. He's a top 'OB booster. And Crosby Hoar also, though he will not be able to attend.
Win Griffin comes forward with a pretty tale from his early career and as observer of a critical incident in Dartmouth history. Win worked in Boston as General Assistant to E.K. Hall '92, who was then with the N. E. T. and T. and also a Trustee of Dartmouth. Hopkins was then doing a consulting job for T. and T. It has always been Win's belief that E. K. Hall did more than any other alumnus to make Hoppy President of Dart- mouth. His performance included not only per- suading the nominee to take the job, but the building of unanimity, on and off the Board, in support of the offer, and finally outlasting some of his closest business associates who desired to make Hoppy's relations with N.E.T. and T.permanent.
