Plenty of news, so right to it, starting with the Green in Beantown. Congratulations to Ed Heald, selected for membership in the "Golden Scale Council," sponsored nationally by the Boston-based Putnam investment management organization and created to "recognize, encourage, and support high professional standards of service within the securities industry." Ed has been with Burbank and Co. in Boston since 1971 and is now assistant to the president.

Mike Chu, after graduating with distinction as a Baker Scholar at Harvard B-School, is now a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. Kevin O'Donnell (Tufts Med. '72) has finished his residency in surgery at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and in July became associated with James Noonan M.D., Brookline Mass., for the practice of general and vascular surgery. David Swift, associated with the Brooks School in North Andover, Mass., was awarded the degree of M.A. in liberal studies from Wesleyan University last May.

Wayne Wadhams of Film Associates in Cambridge, Mass., continues to build in the film and recording industry. His aim is to develop a major new base for production in Massachusetts and he has been sounding out media experts, as well as state and local government people in the area, to get advice and backing. Wayne is very interested in having his new holding company owned and backed by New England investors and is particularly interested in having Dartmouth people aboard as backers and possibly within the management itself. It is an exciting venture indeed... those of you with an entrepreneurial bent and experience in corporate planning or an interest in getting involved in some way should contact Wayne.

Apologies to Jim and Martha Hoffmann of the Big Apple, for missing the birth of their son Hunter, born August 25, 1975. Many thanks to Warren Regelmann's mother for a flurry of news: Warren and Marilyn Regelmann have both finished residencies in Minnesota and both are affiliated with the University of Minnesota — Marilyn as an assistant professor practicing OB-GYN and Warren as a research fellow in pediatric immunology. Danny Tom has been teaching in Taiwan since 1970 and is currently an English professor at Tunghai University. Roger Anderson switched jobs in 1974 from the Canadian Tourist Office to the National Film Board of Canada. Roger lives in San Francisco and distributes Canadian travel films to libraries, ski clubs, and other interested parties.

Sher Guernsey, who is a lawyer with legal aid in Chester County, Pa., writes that Ed andKaren MacNeill are now in Oklahoma City, where Ed is resident manager of a new Sheraton hotel scheduled to open in December and Karen is a psychiatric nurse who unequivocally states she is not like nurse Ratchet in One Flew Overthe Cuckoo's Nest. Sandy and Jane McGregor are in Florida, where Sandy has been working for Combustion Engineering as a nuclear start-up engineer and Jane has been teaching. Both enjoy the fine weather, sailing, and the beach.

Pete and Pam Boorum with children Ted 5 and Meg 2, have settled in Antrim, N.H., where Pete is a production manager with Goodell Co., a cutlery manufacturer. After six years on board destroyers, Pete must still have his sea legs!

John Engelman reports on the Alumni Fund drive that 346 classmates raised $12,396, an increase of 31 contributors and $1,600 over 1975, but short of our dollar goal by $1,600. In any event, a pat on the back for John and his agents who work hard, thanks to all who support the fund, and an invitation to the rest of our class in the four corners of the globe to join this type of involvement in the coming year.

Finally I am saddened to have to announce the death of classmate Greg Henderson, in his home at Barrington, R.I., this past July 19.

Please note my address and send or call in your news. I graduate from Columbia B-School in December, but will keep you advised of my whereabouts, and hope anyone who knows about any great marketing jobs out there will give me a yell! Enjoy fall football and best wishes to all.
