Greetings. I have the unfortunate task of commencing this column with news of the recent death of our classmate, David J. LeGrand. David was Phi Beta Kappa at Dartmouth and was well known for his superb work at the Hopkins Center and his tenure as a Tucker Foundation intern at Jersey City. His fall obituary will follow in a subsequent column. We have lost a fine classmate and I will be sending a letter of condolence on behalf of the class to his family.
On a more upbeat note, Phil Murphy recently announced his candidacy for reelection to the town meeting from his hometown of Milton, Mass. After Dartmouth Phil received his law degree from Suffolk University and a graduate tax degree from Boston University Law School. He is currently Dartmouth's district enrollment director for the South Shore area of Massachusetts. Phil, best of luck with the election.
That's it for this month. I hope our paths will cross at a football game this fall or, at the very least, at our 15th Reunion in June of next year. Make plans now!
