Radford Tanzer reports that Larry Leavitt has received a new honor. At a cookout dinner given by the DCAC, Dick Jaeger presented him with a plaque for his great service to the Sponsors program, which aids athletics and induces deserving students with athletic skills to come to Dartmouth. Ort Hicks '21 and Bob Blackman started the program for football. Larry took it over shortly after he retired from Vermont Academy in '59, and extended it to all sports, working with it for over 25 years. Hearty congratulations, Larry!

On August 29 Larry entertained FranZahm, who was at the Inn for a month, together with Marian Abel, who was visiting Fran. They went to see Kendal, the local Quaker-run retirement home. Larry would like both to join Dris Schriever who lives there.

Betty Crawford was thrilled to see her fifth grandson, Benjamin, graduate in June. She is proud to report that the number of her family who have been at Dartmouth has risen to 10, and there are two more to go. A remarkable record—unbeatable!

Line Davis reports he is doing quite well. He has a priceless collection of wise sayings by his father, which I'll quote in the next column. Line craves contact with the class. He's at 12 Lyman Wheelock Road, South Easton, MA 02375.

Memory of the month: Remember the excitement of opening week with Delta Alpha!
