Two months later, and I'm still talking about Arlington. It's spooky thinking I'm making random phone calls, and then coming up with direct connections to home. This time it was a call to Rick Saul, who entered Dartmouth as a '73 but graduated in '75 after a two-year working sabbatical. It turns out Rick and I grew up about a half a mile apart. Rick now resides in Dedham, Mass., where he is dedicated to quality primary education. He has served as business manager at the Dexter School for about 18 years. Dexter is a private day school for boys which Rick describes as "high on a hill in Brookline. You can look to Boston on one side or to the Blue Hills on the other." Rick has been kept busy with school expansions, most recendy opening Southfield, a sister institution for girls on the Dexter campus. Of course, there might have been an ulterior motive in that one, as two of Rick and Charlotte's three children Brooks 10 and Cynthia 8 now

benefit from the Dexter experience. Fifteen-year-old Hillary just missed out. Howard Reiss describes his activities as "practicing law, writing fiction, and keeping healthy." Howard specializes in litigation in his New York practice, Shatzkin & Reiss. His agent is working on getting Howard's first novel published, while Howard continues to write and to run, the "healthy" part. Howard serves as district enrollment director for Dartmouth Admissions and manages to visit Hanover during family outings. Howard and Ellen, a third-grade teacher, have two daughters, Shira 14 and Erin 10.

After Dartmouth Jim Pocalyko did graduate work in biology at Lehigh but ended up at IBM, a decision he claims "wasn't too difficult" because he "had to make some money." Apparently, it was the right move, because he's been with IBM ever since for the last five years as a product forecaster in Somers, N.Y. Jim's wife, Elaine, owns a dog-grooming business. Together they juggle the logistics of raising Karen 17, Chrissie 13, and TJ 12.

Bill Graulty has finally made the jump from his first love, broadcasting. He hasn't gone too far, however, having moved last June from vice president for news at radio station WBRK to account management for Allison, Hull & Malnati Inc., a public relations, advertising, and marketing agency in Pittsfield, Mass. By September he was promoted to senior account executive with primary responsibility for two major GE accounts, liaison responsibility for the agency's Midwest division, and strategic responsibility for other select media campaigns. Bill will continue as a guest commentator on WBRK, as well as serving as director of the Central Berkshire Chamber of Commerce and chairman of its Communications Council. Good luck on your new frontier, Bill!

Daniel L. Clark is also in line for our kudos, having been named vice president, Consumer Long Distance Services, at AT&T. Dan's general management and marketinginsight aided by his Tuck M.B.A. helped him climb the ladder first at PepsiCo and then at RJR Nabisco, from whence he assumed his current position at AT&T on Nov. 1. Congratulations, Dan. Try not to get so caught up that you miss the reunion!

The reunion will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step back from our individual whirlwinds, relax with old friends, and savor the peace of a Hanover sunset. Or, if you're afraid to give up the whirlwind, to participate in incredible activities planned by Bob Barr and associates. Attendance is running way ahead of last reunion. Watch your mail or call (800) 228-1769 for details and help in registering the whole family.
