Bob Long returned to this country early this year after assisting in ionosphere research in Antarctica in connection with the International Geophysical Year. While at the U. S. base at Wilkes Station on the Indian Ocean coast, Long and others often assisted the station biologist with his work in animal studies and bird-banding to determine migration patterns. Bob is now connected with the Sloane Physics Laboratory of Yale University.
Bill Miles has been busy being Aide de Camp to Brig. General A. P. Clark, Chief U. S. Military Training Mission to Saudi Arabia. Bill has been in this area of the globe since November, 1957. As of now, he's had enough and is yearning for the end come June. He's planning on attending graduate school in September for a degree in English Literature.
Ron MacKenzie and his lovely wife Janet participated in the official opening of a new agency office building of the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company on Route 128 in Waltham, Mass. Ron has been appointed a special representative of the new office which will serve as suburban headquarters of the Robert B. Pitcher General Agency of the company.
Dick Taft, formerly an assistant editor with "Coal Age" has returned from military service to take over at his old post. He will handle the news department of "Coal Age" as well as duties in production.
2nd Lt. Wood Sutton recently completed the ten-week officer basic course at the Army Armor School, Ft. Knox, Ky. Lt. Sutton received instruction in the duties and responsibilities of an armor unit leader.
A former Glenview resident, Forrest Fraser, has joined the production staff of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company's Cleveland television station, KYW-TV, as a producerdirector. Mr. Fraser was a director for the past two years at WNBQ-TV, the NBC television station in Chicago. His wife Peggy and small daughter will join him in their new home in Cleveland Heights
Miss Aline Greenspan became the bride of Marshall Zucker last month. The newlyweds will live in Chicago where the man of the house continues medical studies at Northwestern University College of Medicine.
A June wedding is planned for Miss Sara Evens and Ken Herrmann. Ken expects to be graduated from the Harvard Medical School this year.
Along these same lovable lines, Miss Susanne Por and Larry Jacobson plan a spring wedding. The newly-elected husband come spring is with the New Orleans office of Lever Brothers.
Bob Taub and Tama Alcott will be married this summer. Bob is attending the Tufts University Medical School where he is in his third year.
Doug Keare put the diamond on Miss Virginia Ann Clark. After serving in quality control engineering at G. E. in Pittsfield, Mass., Doug has been transferred and reported to International G. E. in New York.
A spring wedding is planned for Miss Anne Clark of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Jon Gundersen. Jon served two years in the U. S. Army and is associated with The Travelers Insurance Company of Hartford.

Frank Dineen is studying law at Yale University. Bill King holds down manufacturing trainee status with General Electric Company in Owensboro, Ky. Bob Mongeon is an electrical engineer, Research Dept., United Aircraft, East Hartford, Conn. Lastly, Dave Shaffer is with the studies at College of Pharmacy, Toledo University.

Lt. (jg) Robert E. Copeland '57 USN is now serving on the staff of Vice Admiral B. L. Austin USN, commander of the second fleet. He is participating in the first major Atlantic fleet exercise for 1959 aboard an attack aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid.
