Had a pleasant lunch and chat with Byron Menides on a trip to Chicago last month. Byron is president of International Accountants Society, Inc., one of the largest and oldest correspondence schools in the world. Also ran into Larry Lewis on a flight to Dallas a few days later. We were able to sit together which made the trip seem very short. Larry has been transferred back to New York by Greenwood Mills after spending the past several years in Atlanta. Unfortunately Greenwood Mills was inconsiderate enough to hold their annual convention the same weekend as reunion which made Larry miss Hanover.

Also moving north is Cliff Rusch. All the way from Charleston, S. C. Cliff is still working in city management and his new job is Assistant City Manager of West Hartford, Conn. Another new appointment goes to Jack Boyle. He's just made a big move to Superintendent of Schools in Smithfield, R. I. Jack and Kathryn recently had their fifth child, a daughter Susan.

We're a little late in reporting it, but ChipLuce really went out of his way to get married last April. He went all the way to Milan, Italy to marry the former Piera Jiusti. Chip met his bride in New York where she had been working. They are back in New York now after a honeymoon in Italy. And speaking of Italy, Larry Barnett and family have moved from Florence to the suburbs of Paris. Larry is with Minneapolis Honeywell's new Military Products Group in Paris.

On the move to the Chicago area is BarrySchoder and family. We understand that Bob and Carol Henderson were instrumental in helping them locate as neighbors in Winnetka.

Dick (Richard H.) Goodman, also a Superintendent of Schools, was selected as one of 90 school superintendents who visited Sweden for six weeks this fall. The group studied the Swedish educational system and lived in Swedish homes for three of the six weeks. The balance of the time was spent traveling through Sweden. Dick should be back safe in Milford, N. H., by now. DickLombard is active again this year in the Rye (N. Y.) United Fund. Being a neighbor I know that Dick has put in a great deal of time and effort in this good project. The only all-Dartmouth 1953 brokerage firm on Wall Street, Lombard, Vitalis and Paganucci is going into its third year of operation and from what we hear prospering very nicely. Dick, Bill, and Paul have poured oceans of blood, sweat, and tears into their firm and we wish them continuing success.

Anyone want a new house? Charlie Jacob is now a practicing architect in Westport, Conn. In addition to working for the firm of Michael Irving, Charlie is doing some free lance work. Most of it has been around Cape Cod and includes two houses, a guest cottage and a motel addition. Charlie and Sally also became the proud parents of a new son, William, born Friday, the 13th of September. Good luck. Other new parents include Jim and Shirley Cobb with their third, a son Charles, and the John Springers with a girl, Susan Elizabeth. Susan was born at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover; what a great way to start life.

News of '53 is so thin that if things don't pick up by next month I may be out of business. If you have news or photos of yourself or classmates please send them.
